“We did a class today in Wilkes county. Our Murphy had 0 experience with a prong collar but by the end of one class we had a good walk with her right beside of us. For reference she is usually a puller on walks. It wasn’t something I would have felt comfortable implementing without supervision of someone like Chris. Being geographically separated by 4 hours, Backyard Canine Academy kept me up to date with progress pics and videos as well as routine communication concerning daily training events. The amount of care and consideration concerning my goals for the dog as well as anything they found needing work or “tightening up” was amazing. Additionally, I dont think the cost is comparable. In my experience, people are paying a lot more for far less superior training. I think that this is because this is not a money grab organization; it’s a family who loves what they do. “Tina and Monkey went to Backyard Canine Academy today for some schooling. They did awesome. I learned several things about them that I didn’t know and how to understand them better, even after 3 years. Tina did great working on reactivity, was even able to walk her past another dog and have her keep her focus on me better than she has in the past. Monk came out of his shell way faster than I anticipated. He was actually comfortable enough to play and roll over on his back and even walk through a WHOLE TUNNEL BY HIMSELF.
